Many of our photodiode packages include standard optical windows made from glass or sapphire to protect the device while maintaining high optical transmission. Custom optical windows are also available to meet specific wavelength, environmental, or application requirements.

Optical lenses can be added to many TO packages to increase the field of view and improve light collection. In select designs, lenses may also be mounted directly onto the photodiode or APD chip for optimized detection performance.
